  7. The Verity TOPIC* text management system, from Verity* Inc., provides
  8. for easy storage and retrieval of textual documents based on document
  9. content.  This approach to text storage and retrieval is the fastest
  10. and most knowledge-based available today.  By using internal attributes
  11. (topics and categories), users can easily retrieve documents
  12. intuitively.  For example, a user wanting to know about the financial
  13. status of the American motorcycle industry might specify a keyword
  14. search on "American," "motorcycle," and "financials."  TOPIC would
  15. retrieve an article  mentioning higher profits for Harley-Davidson even
  16. though none of the original keywords appeared in the article.

  25. systems or content-based retrieval systems, automatically index the
  26. words and phrases in textual documents.  This allows for easy keyword
  27. retrieval of the documents.  Furthermore, by searching for global
  28. document content, users can quickly access textual information from
  29. sources enterprise-wide.
